John Baker Day 2020

We are spending John Baker Day this year sharing and starting important conversations about black baseball in Chicago. The PAST. The PRESENT. + The FUTURE. Join John and Lost Boyz executive director LeVonte Stewart and some familiar Cubs fan voices for three days of interviews and online dialog while raising money for Chicago based little league team Lost Boyz for at risk youth. Learn more about the history of black baseball and race relations in Chicago with Negro League Museum President Bob Kendrick. We will unpack what it looks like right now with Cubs analyst and former player Doug Glanville and what it can look like in the future with Cubs 3rd base coach Will Venable. We hope the conversations we will have about the future can lead to something important and needed for the success of a healthy team and fanbase: a fan code of conduct. Fan-driven action to recognize and stop racism and inequality when we see it from fans at and around Wrigley Field.
